When I first jammed on a Parker guitar back in 2002, I knew that I was in love. When I was in the music shop on that fateful day, I admit that I was just looking for the best guitar that I could afford. Granted, when you’re on a budget you sometimes have to take a look at some less than desirable models, but the salesman there convinced me to pull off a few riffs on a Parker guitar. I know this must sound crazy, but after the first few strums I was sold, and I ended up buying two guitars that way. I went home with both a Parker Fly and a Parker Nitefly. Avid guitar players everywhere at every level of proficiency will agree that Parker Guitars are among the best.

There is a lower cost section of “P” series guitars that is inexpensive and has great quality. They are made in Korea and paly better than a lot of Asian Build guitars. If you are going to purchase a Parker I recommend buying their Parker Mojo. They are quite expensive but very worth the money. There is a big difference between Asian made guitars and US ones.

Then again, if you have a little more cash than the average guy in a garage punk rock band, spring for the Parker Mojo, which is one of the more expensive offerings from Parker. People who play Mojo designs, though, will say that they are worth their weight in gold. With excellent craftsmanship, tone quality and playability, this versatile line receives high marks. The stainless steel frets and consistent neck design also means that they should never wear out no matter how many cities are on the tour schedule.

Another excellent Parker guitar is the Mojo Flame. Like the Mojo, the guitar body is made of a single piece, solid mahogany. Its neck is also made of solid mahogany and it comes along with a carbon glass fingerboard which makes the guitar very durable. The Mojo Flame has a a Triple A Maple face design to it that compliments the mahogany tones very well, giving the guitar a stunning appearance that many find attractive.

A note about Sperzel locking tuners: When you experience the ease of stead fast tune ability and changing strings of the locking tuner you won’t want to get another guitar that does not have them. You just need to thread the string through the bridge and through the whole on the end of the tuning peg, and then you tighten it and then it’s done. There is only winding when tuning the instrument.

The most important thing about owning a guitar is the sound. Ken parker says “every part of the instrument, the body, the neck, and the bridge has to sing”. Ever component of the guitar has a tonal quality that was inherited. It properly matches and molds to make the tonal quality of the guitar. The Washburn Guitar Company now sells Parker Guitars. When choosing a US made guitar it is important to consider the Parker Guitar in your purchase.

Electric guitars are the stringed musical instruments which have electric capabilities. These electric guitars make use of the principle of electromagnetic induction. The string vibrations in the electric guitars are converted into electric signals with the help of electromagnets present in the guitar system. The electric signals produced are weaker and hence are amplified using the amplifiers before they are fed to the loudspeaker. Are you looking for a metallic guitar?

Most electric guitars are six stringed and fretted. Electric guitars are made of solid bodies except for a few, which may have either hollow or semi-hollow bodies. Magnetic induction and amplification are both essential for the electric guitars to work. The sound produced by the magnetic pickups is being controlled by the knobs. The sound produced by striking the strings is almost inaudible when the electric guitar is not plugged in.

Electric guitars generally have longer necks which can be of two types i.e. set neck or a bolt-on neck. The top of the neck is called headstock. The headstock contains machine heads or tuners which when rotated change the string tension and hence help in tuning the guitar. Between the headstock and the neck are the nuts over which the strings of the guitar pass.

The Fretboard or the fingerboard is the playing area of the guitar. Frets are the bars which are located horizontally at appropriate distances on the fingerboard. When the string is pressed down, the frets stop the string at the right pitch to produce appropriate tones. All electric guitars have control knobs to adjust the volume of the tones. Truss rods are metallic cylinders used for adjusting the tension on the neck of the electric guitar.

Electric guitars make use of various materials and construction techniques. The sound quality of the guitar depends on the materials used in the construction of some guitar bodies, though most of the solid body guitars aren’t much affected by the materials used. The woods commonly used for the electric guitar bodies are swamp ash, poplar, maple, basswood, mahogany and alder. Other materials like cardboard and plastic are also used for bodies of some electric guitars. The materials used for soundboards of electric guitars are usually rosewood, ebony and koa. Materials used for the neck are maple, mahogany and basswood.

The electric guitar strings are not meant for producing louder tones. Therefore, the strings of electric guitars and those used for acoustic guitars are different. Stainless steel, pure nickel and nickel plated steel are commonly used in making the strings of electric guitar.

Electric guitars had not achieved much fame when they were initially produced. But over the years they have made a niche in the music industry. Most of the musical shows now have electric guitars as the major instruments. Electric guitars are used for playing various types of music like rock n roll, heavy metal, pop and punk.

Playing a vintage bass guitar can bring back the feeling and sound of the era it was born in. Playing a guitar that was manufactured by the same hands and in the same era as a guitar played by a favorite musician can bring back that same rush of feelings.

There are numerous vintage guitars out there just waiting to be played, like the vintage Rickenbacker guitars. Below are some of the Fender Bass guitars you may find while searching for a good vintage guitar.

Over the years, a good amount of electric bass guitars have been sold. To be considered as a vintage bass guitar, it should be manufactures between the periods of 1920s and 1970s. here are some of those guitars which were brought and introduced to the music world by Leo Fender.

Fender Precision Bass (or P Bass) was commenced in the year 1951, by the currently known, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. Initially designed by the founder, Leo Fender, it is certainly known as the best selling electric bass of all time. Its former design was, more or less, similar to the Telecaster and was re shaped to resemble the Stratocaster in 1957. Quickly after this, split humbucking pickup was used in place of the single coil pickup. This is a solid body guitar sporting a maple neck and a fixed bridge.

The version named Telecaster of the Precision Bass was re-launched in the year 1968 as the Telecaster Bass and has since that time undergone a series of redesigns and reintroductions.

The Jazz Bass (or J Bass) was commenced in 1960 and was the second vintage bass guitar from Leo. It comprised of a solid-body with a fixed bridge. They had 2 single-coil pickups and also comprised of two pole pieces per string. This provides this vintage bass guitar with a bright, rich midrange and was designed to compete with the sound of the Rickenbacker bass. It resembled the design and was marketed alongwith the Jazzmaster.

The Fender Mustang Bass was the last vintage bass guitar designed by Leo Fender before is departure from the Fender. It was produced from 1966 to 1981 although it was reintroduced in 2002 by Fender Japan and is still in production. This solid-body design has a bridge with 4 adjustable saddles and a split single-coil Mustang Bass pickup.

The Music Man Sting Ray is a vintage bass guitar which was also manufactured with the help of Leo Fender. This was produced in 1976 by the Music Man. Leo, alongwith his two other fender employees had played an important role for laying the foundation of the Music Man in the early 1970s. Similar to the precision bass this is a solid-body guitar comprising of maple neck and fixed bridge. The String Ray was not only available with one or two high-output humbucking pickups but was also the first mass produced bass guitar with active electronics. Due to the active electronics, facilities such as 3 band equalizer were made available by this guitar and its higher quality made it a preferred choice for slapping.

Born in 1909, Clarence Leonidas “Leo” Fender, is frequently regarded as one of the most significant figures in the origin of electric instruments, he bid farewell to the world in 1991. He was the founder of 3 music companies, G&L Musical Products not stated above, besides he also designed guitars and amplifiers, vintage bass guitars being one of them listed above.

There are a lot of guitars to select from and a great number of reasons to select any given model. So when you are ready to find a vintage guitar do a fast search for Gretsch guitars for sale or whichever brand you are looking for and good luck.

These are just a few of the available models out there. For information, articles, and a selection of vintage guitars for sale visit BlueTreeVintage.com.

Learning an instrument can be a great experience no matter how old you are or how much musical experience you have. The guitar is a great instrument to learn as it is very sociable and quite cheap to start off with. You can also play many different styles on it. Although you could teach yourself it is generally accepted that getting guitar lessons is the best way to learn.

The first thing you will need to decide is whether you want to play the electric or the acoustic guitar. Many guitarists will swap between the two but it is usually easier to start with the acoustic as it needs less equipment and therefore costs less. Both types have six strings which run from the body down to the top of the neck. The strings vibrate when strummed or plucked to create a sound. On an acoustic the whole body amplifies the sound, while an electric amplifier increases the volume on an electric guitar.

It is very important to learn the basics of an instrument before you try and do something more complicated. One of the basics here is the need to maintain a good posture and arm position while playing. A good teacher will show you the best way to hold and use the instrument so that you can make the best sound possible.

This good posture is the essential ingredient to being able to play more difficult music and for longer periods of time. If the posture and the way the strings are being used is not correct you may find yourself getting very uncomfortable. In extreme cases you could even cause yourself injury, so it is vital to get a professional opinion on this matter.

Although many people manage to play instruments without ever being able to read written music, doing so will undoubtedly open up many musical choices to you which will make your practice far more interesting. It is common to start learning to play chords. This is where two or more notes are sounded together to create a good sound. To do this the left hand fingers will press down a combination on the strings while the right hand strums. This is a good way of providing an accompaniment to a melody.

Slightly more complicated ways of playing involve reading notation or tablature. Notation is the type of written music that most instruments follow. This will involve pressing and playing a string at a time to pick out the melody of the tune. Another way of picking out the tune is by reading tablature, which is a numbering system that is used in conjunction with the layout of the strings and frets that are on the neck.

There are many different online tutors, DVDs and books that claim to be able to teach you to play. While this can be possible, most people will benefit from instruction by a professional who will be able to assess your playing and find solutions for any individual problems that you may be having. You can also play along with your teacher which can make the simple tunes that you will start with sound a lot more interesting. If you have always wanted to play an instrument, take up guitar lessons. You will soon be playing great music and you may even be able to start or join a band.

It’s never too late to take music lessons. Take the time to learn an instrument, and fulfill a life goal. Follor your dream and start drum lessons, guitar lessons, voice lessons, piano lessons today!

Orville Gibson was not only the inventor of the archtop but also the owner of the Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Manufacturing Company started in 1902. Gibson was successful in the innovation and selling of guitars till the time the Norlin Corporation bought the Gibson Company, in the 1960s. The quality of guitar hit a deep low and the company was heading to bankruptcy until 1986. Henry Juszkiewicz, Gary Zebrowski, and David Berryman, who currently own the company, had purchased it at that time. Today, Gibson is the proud owner of an array of brands such as Epiphone, Steinberger, Baldwin, and Tobias.

There are numerous vintage guitars like the vintage Aria guitars, below are some of the Gibson guitars you may find while searching for a vintage guitar.

The former electronic Spanish guitar of Gibson was the ES-150. Generated from the year 1936 to 1941, it is generally thought to be the first ever commercially successful Spanish electric guitar. This vintage Gibson guitar constituted of a hollow body archtop with a single coil pickup situated in the neck position and had an adjustable bridge, but was available exclusively Sunburst. The two famous players of the ES-150 were Eddie Durham and Charlie Christian. These guitars would range above 2000$ in the present market but were initially priced at just $150.

First ever solid-body electric guitar innovated by Gibson was the Les Paul. They were produced from the year 1952 till the year 1960 and were later brought back to production in 1968 and are continued till date. It was the most popular model among the Gibson guitars and derived its name from its endorser the Les Paul. It was available in an array of colors and variations, namely- the Standard, the Goldtop, the Custom, the Junior, and the Special.

The basic configuration of Goldtop, which was manufactured from 1952 to 1957, was a one piece, trapeze-style bridge with a tailpiece, it has 2 P-90 single coil pickups and the strings were fitted under the steel stop-bar. The top was made out of maple.

As the Custom guitar, which was produced from the year 1954 till 1960, was completely black in color, it was named “Black Beauty”. One of the pickups was placed in the neck and also the top was made up of mahogany, in these vintage Gibson guitars. The Tune-o-Matic bridge design was embedded for the first time in this guitar and it helped in adjusting the tone of each string though, slightly. The pickups later, in 1957, were updated to humbuckers and a third pickup was eventually added later on.

The Junior, produced from 1954 until 1960, was meant as a beginner’s guitar. They were shaped like the other Les Paul guitars however, had only one P-90 pickup and simple tone and volume controls. In 1955 Gibson added the TV that was simply the Junior with a natural/yellow finish. In 1958 both models were changed to a double-cutaway body-style.

In 1955, the Special was launched, which had the same natural/yellow finish as the TV and was also furnished with the double-cutaway design in 1959; its production was stopped in 1960. The special sported two soapbar P-90 single-coil pickups one of which was located in the neck.

The ES-335 was not only Gibson’s first but was the world’s first semi-hollowbody electric guitar. Released in 1958 these vintage Gibson guitars were electric Spanish guitars with a solid center and hollow sides. The semi-hollowbody was an attempt to reduce the feedback common hollowbody electric guitars and still have a warmer sound than that found in the solidbody guitars. The ES-335 has a maple body, 2 pickups, and side holes. It is still in production today.

It may be hard to tell the legitimacy and authenticity of an autograph if you are not a memorabilia specialist. There are many methods you can take to find out if the autographed item is genuine.

If you own an autographed guitar or other forms or autograph memorabilia and want to prove to possible buyers of your item that it is indeed genuine, there are third party autograph authenticators that you can send your item to and have them verify your item to professional exemplars and give you an opinion about the item. Besides authenticators, there are a select few music autograph dealers that are highly knowledgeable about autograph guitars and other music memorabilia items and sometime they will be able to give you advice on your item.

I am not saying a third party authenticator is perfect, because they are not. They only give you a opinion about the item saying if its genuine or not and this costs a fee, but on the other hand reputable third party authenticators issue you authenticity documentation that may be more marketable for your item.

Other ways to authenticate an autograph or signature(s) is to have them analyzed by a professional handwriting expert. Guitar memorabilia is a highly specialized niche, because it is harder to obtain a signed guitar from an artist compared to an album or poster.

Music artists will likely sign albums, CDs, and posters throughout their career and these signatures usually require less effort to obtain. To get a guitar signed by an artist may be more difficult to obtain.

Many music artists deny signing a guitar if you are not a record label or charitable organization. This difficulty is outweighed by the fans trying to obtain the perfect memorabilia signed item, like a guitar and has created a whole other market of fake autographs and signed guitars ran by scam artists selling them for thousands of dollars.

With all the fake autographs out there in the world it is necessary to take the right actions before buying anything and make sure that the item is legitimate. Always buy from a reputable autograph dealer or auction house if possible.

If you see a signed guitar or other autographs that you are interested in and ready to buy, be sure to consult with the dealer and do research on that person and also take further steps to contact other opinions about the item. I look at it if you are serious enough to spend thousands of dollars on that particular memorabilia piece then you can put the time and effort to check its legitimacy.

Before you buy any autographed signature or other fine autograph memorabilia, make sure you check out Mark Turgeon’s site on autograph, and autographed memorabilia.

Those that have considered playing the acoustic guitar, but haven’t made that final push towards getting one and signing up for some lessons, may need a final push. It is with that intention that I write this article. For those of you that need a few extra reasons to take up this wonderful instrument, this article is for you.

The first reason is that with the acoustic guitar, you will enjoy enormous social proof and recognition. It’s no secret that guys who play the acoustic guitar have a certain charm, magnetism and appeal to them. If you’ve ever seen a the attention a guy gets at a party when he plays the acoustic guitar, then you know what I’m talking about.

Another reason is that the guitar will skyrocket your ability to express yourself. It will open up avenues that you thought were perhaps closed off to your emotional expression. When you play the guitar, or any musical instrument for that matter, you will be availing yourself to a technique known since modern times for its ability of expression.

Several folks aren’t attentive to the made and illustrious history of the acoustic guitar. From the Egyptians, to the Babylonians, to the Romans and beyond, the acoustic guitar has been spherical as long as civilization. Although it’s modified slightly over the years, the fundamental design is that the same. When you hold an acoustic guitar in your hands, you are holding history.

And perhaps the greatest reason to play the acoustic guitar is it is not only one of the few standalone instruments around, but it is completely portable, allowing you to take it virtually anywhere you’d like to go. Bars, parties, weekend getaways, you’ll never have to be without your trusted friend and sidekick, the acoustic guitar.

Of course you won’t be able to play the guitar unless you actually get started. Do yourself a favor, and start playing today. If you don’t a guitar, get one, and get started on some lessons. You’re life will never be the same again.

Watching a skilled guitarist completely dominate an audience is a fantastic event to behold. The way they seem connected to their guitar, as if they were born somehow attached to it. They seem to have a direct connection between their thoughts and the music blaring from the speakers.

Most of us, after watching such a performance, are inspired to learn the guitar. We want to make such beautiful music. We want to be the one up on stage drawing the admiration of all the fans. Of course, this is much harder than we’d like it to be. Most of us would simply like to pick up a guitar and start jamming right away. But when we realize that it requires time and effort, that is usually enough to stop us dead in our tracks.

But this is based on a misguided analysis of the situation. Learning the guitar doesn’t have to be a chore, like doing your laundry to cleaning out the garage once a year. Learning the guitar can actually be quite a fun experience, and rewarding in and of itself. Those that take this attitude are the ones that learn the guitar the quickest and the easiest.

The secret, is not to expect to be playing like that guy up on stage. Truth be told, many times what we mortals think as a guitar solo delivered straight from the guitar gods themselves is oftentimes thought to be filled with errors by the guitarist himself. When choosing any goal, it is best to only compare yourself to yourself, and no one else.

This where it is vitally important to choose the right guitar course. One where you can repeat lessons as often as necessary, as well as skip ahead as you see fit is essential. This way you’ll easily be able to chart your progress and eventually be the guy up on stage.

One place where more and more people are starting to discover is an excellent place to learn the acoustic guitar is on the Internet. There are several multi module course that offer a wide variety of learning elements that will have you up and playing in no time at all.

To find the best cash registers for small business come on over to the cash registers for small business site today.
